Drama

Students will learn the mechanics and techniques that go into performing a play. Emphasis will be on body language and non-verbal communication, speech and tonal qualities, enunciation, and projection. They will combine this with character study, makeup and blocking to complete a character. Some attention will be given to props, set design and lighting. The culmination of the class will be an actual performance in a play. Students are required to attend rehearsals outside of class time as well.

Drama Class is exploding with energy! Drama students learn the basics of theatre on and behind the stage. Drama class meets on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 2:10pm to 3:00pm.

• TCCA Drama was recently recognized for the outstanding theatrical production Annie (performed in Spring 2009). Annie placed 3rd for the Moss Hart Award.
