BA Central College

Mrs. Hearn was born in and raised in southeast Iowa. She attended Central College in Pella, Iowa and graduated with a BA in Elementary Education. After graduating Mrs. Hearn taught 6th grade in Winnebago, NE.


Mrs. Hearn took a couple years off and moved to Colorado to pursue her love of adventure and outdoors in the form of skiing the Rockies! There is where she met Mr. Hearn.


Later they moved east to New Hampshire where they established a home and raised their two children, both TCCA students; Kristen a 2013 alumni and Todd will graduate in 2016.


Mrs. Hearn re-entered the teaching environment by running a child are with a friend one year, and then substitute teaching for four years in the Rochester and Dover districts. The year before starting at Tri-City Christian Academy, Mrs. Hearn was a 4th grade paraprofessional in the special education department in the William Allen school in Rochester. She acquired her NH state certification and in 2007 Mrs. Hearn accepted the 2nd grade position and has continued in the role since then.


Mr. and Mrs. Hearn are very involved and active in the TCCA community serving all 10 years of the Auction Committee, since it's inception.


For the past 12 years, Mrs. Hearn has actively supported and chaperoned the TCCA ski program that runs each winter. She now coordinates the ski program.


Outside TCCA, Mr. and Mrs. Hearn attend the First United Methodist Church in Rochester. Mrs. Hearn has attended numerous Bible Studies and extensively served in various capacities within her church; most notably was the chair person of the Christian Education (Sunday school) program for three years, as well as volunteered with VBS (Vacation Bible School) many years. Currently she serves as Co-chair of the Mission and Outreach Committee.
